Dr CAROLE GOLDSMITH

I was born and grew up in Queens, New York City, USA. I attended dental school in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania. I first moved to Israel in 1982.
My private practice is in Ra'anana, where I am happy to be a member of a dental group that includes specialists in the fields of periodontics, orthodontics, and pedodontics.
I taught and did research in the field of Oro-facial Pain at Tel Aviv University Dental School. I and my colleagues published original articles both in Israel and in international dental journals.
In addition, I speak at dental conferences on the subject of dental appliances for snoring and sleep apnea.

Diagnosis and treatment of Orofacial Pain and TMJ disorders

Symptoms as varied as migraine-type headaches, ringing in your ears, dizziness, noises and/or pain in your jaw joints, tired facial muscles, limitation of mouth opening, and difficulty chewing can be caused by imbalances of your chewing muscles and associated structures.
These problems can be the result of a car accident, a blow to the face or jaw, or even due to clenching or grinding your teeth. The clenching/grinding may occur in your sleep and therefore be unknown to you, or while awake, or both.
These behaviors over time can also result in painful and costly damage to your teeth and to any dental work which has been done!
If you suffer from any of these symptoms, come to me for an evaluation of your problem. You will benefit from a thorough professional examination, an explanation of your problem and its causes, a comprehensive treatment plan, and a warm, sympathetic environment.
